Parents and Athletes,
The SP Track Club is back for another season! One of the oldest and most successful youth track clubs in all of western Pennsylvania is located right here in your back yard! We are a full-service track club, offering all throwing, running, jumping and racewalking events. Alumni of this club include WPIAL and PIAA champions/medalists, NCAA division I All Americans, and Olympians. Our members regularly compete in national caliber track and field competitions including the WPIAL and PIAA championship meets, The Penn Relays, New Balance Outdoor Nationals, Hershey Youth Outdoor Nationals, and the USATF Junior Olympics!
Youths age 8-18, from all school districts, are welcome to join us for the 2018 season. The fee is $150 for the first child in a family and $125 for additional children. High school athletes are invited to join the club after their high school seasons concludes for $75.00. These fees include all developmental competitions, the required USA Track and Field Membership and a club t-shirt. Checks can be written to “South Park Track Club”. Opportunities exist for refunding a portion of these fees through parental service to the club through coaching and/or club administration. Note: Due to safety concerns, athletes under the age of 10 will require a parent ON SITE at all practices/meets.
A parent orientation will occur on April 24th at the TJ high school stadium complex. You should bring your completed registration form (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tirjynnDWbGRpZJRcGMQiigfosMIxuRZe209IiStxC0/edit?usp=sharing), registration fee (check or cash), and a COPY of your birth certificate (only if you are a first time USATF member) to registration. Parent and Athlete Signatures are required. Beginning April 26th, practices will take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and some optional Sunday afternoons through the regional championship meet in early July. Practice frequency may increase as we near the regional championship meet.
